Thread Veins
Thread veins (telangiectasias) are also called spider veins or flares. They are blue or red pencil line veins within the skin. With age the skin becomes thinner and more fragile. The blood vessels under the skin also become more obvious.
veins
| Thread veins do not usually pose any major health problem although many people find them unsightly. Interestingly they often cause aching and discomfort. They most often occur on the legs, although other parts of the body may be affected. Many women become so aware of them that they will not wear skirts or feel embarrassed to wear a swimsuit. |
